Description
Rincon Research Corporation’s (RRC) WideBand RAID and Acquisition (WBRA) systems enable high-performance acquisition of wideband signals—up to 1 GHz of bandwidth. The family consists of:
- WBRA-02 wideband recorder, with dual 16 TB disk packs, 2 GSPS ADC & DAC, 4-band filter banks
- WBRA-03 wideband recorder, same as WBRA-02, but ADC only, no DAC
- WBRA-04L wideband recorder, same as WBRA-02, but L-band (950 MHz to 1750 MHz) filters only
- Recordings can be done in single shot or in looped mode. In looped mode, new data overwrites older data for indefinite recording duration. The disk packs are easily removable from the front of the chassis to facilitate quick drive swaps in the field for additional storage.
The recorded data playback feature (enabled via firmware update, coming soon!) reproduces an analog output of recorded data streams. Recorded data is time-tagged when the system is connected to external time/frequency sources.
WBRA systems have one analog input and integrated sub-band tuner. The analog input and output connect to a filter bank to enable high-performance 2nd and 3rd Nyquist zone applications. The sub-band tuner supports bandwidths from 110 MHz to 440 MHz. An intuitive Java-based command and control interface supports operation using Windows, OS X, and Linux platforms.
